Effie Character Design

Here is "Effie"

Our Librarian type, Dark Academia hero. We spoke for a bit on our personal opinions regarding the Dark Academia aesthetic and writing styles. In general my friend group appreciates the aesthetic much more than the writing tendencies we have observed. Regardless, she started in a similar pose to B, lantern in hand. This was changed to a candle to avoid double lanterning.

And in the process of of refining the design lots of great details came through, the final color and background might be my favorite of them all. But blue is my favorite color, I'm biased. Something that particularly eagle eyed or fashion-curious people may notice is the frilly top she is wearing. During the concept stage we decided to commit to a ridiculous choice, based on me seeing something incorrectly. Frilly button down crop top. Yes, dear reader, you see that right. Jess tastefully left it subtle. In many ways it is an easter egg for just the designers.

Effie here is also the character that went through the most changes during the creation process, and highlights how this all comes together quite nicely.
