We go through life losing things, discarding pieces of ourselves, and building new contraptions to keep our motors running.
The transition from then to now and beyond is often the most laborious part.
By yourself, or with others, explore a piece of life, the transitory portion of space and time through the eyes of a person (that's how it always is anyway). You will only need some paper, pens, and a deck of cards. It is abstract and requires you to fill it with meaning.
This game is what you make it. The text was written in July, 2024, Mesa, Arizona. The entire breadth of human history and tragedy came before it and all the histories and tragedies that happened after did occur.
Finnen Cerises wrote the text, and created the layout, that's me.
Jess Loya created all of the illustrations for the game.

Question: it says in the game to consult the card effects, but I don't see a chart or anything?
As a group (or solo) you assign the effects yourself based on elements of the cards.
example: every time a Jack appears it could Represent a memory, or a type of person. Every time a Diamond appears it could represent Fortune, or Loss.
OH ok, I see. I would want to run this with a group, so I'll likely make a chart beforehand. I'd have to assign effects per number and for each suite?
I really appreciate you checking out the game! If you want to let me know how the session goes I'll gladly hear it. Comment here or dm me on bluesky.
My suggestion for brevity, if you're making a chart ahead of time, would be things like suits, face cards, colors. But if you want to have a lot more variables each number can have a theme as well. The world is your oyster!
For sure! I want to run this at the next TTRPG convention by Double Exposure in NJ (I just wrapped up running indie TTRPGs at their con Dexlite), so it'll probs be a few months before I run it. Just letting you know beforehand that it might be a bit lol.
& for sure, that makes sense! I was thinking doing one for suit & number. Maybe a separate writeup for what happens if the card is black or red, and also special stuff for face cards.
Also, I really like M.A.R.P btw! I was checking out your page and saw it, then saw I got it in the recent No ICE In California Bundle. I'm a DM who relies a lot on eir improv skills and it seems like it might be a good fit for me!
That means a lot to me as a person who also relies a lot on improv!
